fileslib. The new shot scope is an update to the V2 model. It’s sleeker, slimmer, and has a much better look to it. The battery is very good. I don’t think I can get 2 full rounds out of it, but def 27 holes and maybe pushing it to the 36 number. The V2 could get 18, but 27 was pushing it and I never came close to 36 in a single session. I’ve used ShotScope the last 2 seasons. I also did the V3 pre-order. Hope it can arrive in May as scheduled. The two weaknesses I hope to see improved are battery life and putting accuracy. As noted the watch cannot handle 36 in a day unless you take a nice lunch and plug it in for a while. I also find I need to review and edit the putting data after every round. Usually it’s pretty good, but 2 or 3 holes a around seem way off and that would destroy the accuracy of the data if I
There have been some very substantial upgrades to Shot Scope V3. The highlights are: – 35,000 pre-loaded courses . This means you don’t need to load each course onto your watch before the round. -Dual GPS makes Shot Scope the most accurate GPS system in golf. – Battery life of 10+ hours compared to 6 hours on V2.
Overall I’m happy with V3, and from what I can see the ShotScope team is always working on improvements, main thing is I’m hoping the time to pick up on GPS can be cut down. It’s fine if I think to hit play when I’m leaving the practice green or walking to the tee, but it takes long enough that if you hit play on the first tee, even after 3 other people hit it might not be ready yet.
